Remote work has become a part of many people’s everyday life in 2020. In the new culture of working from home, a person’s video conference backdrop has taken on an unexpected significance as an expression of one’s values and personality. Through the backdrop, people allow friends and coworkers to have a glimpse into their home and life. These glimpses are not candid or unfiltered, but are intensively curated. People are arranging furniture, lighting and artwork to convey a story about themselves.
This piece was prepared in collaboration as part of a home office conversion project. The piece will be mounted in place of existing closet doors. The character for fire and water is scribed in a bold abstract style that renders the work legible in the background .

リモートワークへの移行から、ホームオフィースは新しい必然となった。
モニター画面に反映されるインパクトをイメージし、かつ、様々なミーティングにも適応できるニュートラルなセッティングを意識し、単純なラインの構成でアブストラクトな「火」と「水」の壁面を作成。
既存のクローゼットドアを使い、存在感のある新しい空間を演出した。
