Shunjyu in its literal meaning talks about the spring and autumn seasons, but in its deeper meaning is the idea of the passage of time.

These two seasons represent either the coming and going of the two extreme seasons; they are the transitory seasons. Spring and autumn bring with them such personal memories and evoke so many thoughts all very unique to everyone. Though they may not have a specific colour to it, for it is anyways transitioning, this passage through time can be so riveting.
